Fencing is a fascinating but also intense sport – and our fencing blades are subjected to constant wear and tear. It's important to us that you know exactly when we'll cover replacements under the statutory warranty, and when it's normal wear and tear, which is simply part of the sport.

Our fencing blades are high-quality sports equipment that are subjected to extreme stress during training and competition. To help you understand when you are entitled to a replacement and when you are not, we've summarized the most important points for you:

1. Implied warranties

For all our products the statutory warranty of 2 years from delivery.
It covers exclusively Defects that were already present upon receipt of the goods, such as material or manufacturing defects.

2. Wear and tear is not a defect

Fencing blades inevitably wear out due to sporting activities. This normal wear is no warranty caseThese include in particular:

• slight bends or waves

• Material fatigue due to repeated loading

• Wear due to contact with other blades

• Fractures resulting from normal sporting use

3. Improper use

Damage caused by improper use is also excluded from the warranty. This includes, for example:

• Hitting hard objects

• intentional overbending or twisting of the blade

• hard and/or unsportsmanlike blows, punches, and pushes. 
  (In fencing, fencing partners should be protected; blows should be delivered loosely and in a sporting manner)
  
  
• Use against unequal (e.g. significantly heavier or harder blades)
  
  
• Improper behavior of the fencing partner (even incorrect behavior of the partner or opponent can severely damage one’s own blade)

5. Safety notice

Please check your fencing blades regularly for cracks, breaks, or significant deformation. Damaged blades should be replaced immediately to avoid the risk of injury.
