New standard in fencing jackets for historical fencing

The goal of this development is to bring a fencing jacket to market that enables fencing with the highest level of safety and without significant restrictions of movement. Immediately after initial discussions, Uhlmann Fencing agreed to cooperate in this development. We have since tested several prototypes and also developed a pair of fencing trousers. They meet all the requirements I had in mind.

The fencing jacket is made of fully elastic 800N fencing jacket fabric from Uhlmann, which offers much greater mobility and is also lighter than the cotton fabrics previously used in the scene.

After a year of testing, I found a new, fully elastic fabric with a honeycomb structure for the padding, which is even lighter than the fabric and promotes air circulation in the jacket.

The sensitive bony structures of the shoulder area also incorporate impulse and shock-absorbing foam, which provides additional protection.

The elbows and forearms are unpadded, which greatly improves arm mobility. Fencers also typically wear additional personal protective equipment in the form of forearm and elbow pads.

The jacket features a front zipper and a bib in the genital area. Although this bib may look unsightly to some fencers, it doesn't provide adequate protection for the genitals but significantly improves the fit of the jacket and thus safety.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with this jacket. We hope you'll put your trust in us. The jacket is currently undergoing CE testing, and we hope to be able to add it to our shop in white and black, as well as the pants, in 2020.
