Application
This chest protector was designed for use in fencing according to the regulations of the International Fencing Federation (FIE). Please refer to the FIE regulations to determine the correct performance level for your fencing protective equipment. We strongly recommend that you use only the highest performance level protective equipment.
Find the right size chest protector. Refer to the size chart for details. Measure your chest circumference under your arms and select the correct size. The chest protector must be sized to cover the protected areas and stay securely in place. The shoulder and back straps allow for a perfect fit.
The protected areas can be seen in the illustration on the accompanying sheet. The following parts of the chest protector are not part of the protected areas:
the elastic bands of the chest protector
We recommend wearing a light undershirt or T-shirt beneath the chest protector. Ensure the elastic strap on the back of the chest protector is fastened and that the elastic shoulder straps are adjusted so the chest protector fits snugly against your chest. If the back strap does not pull the chest protector firmly against your chest, please try the next smaller size or wear a thicker T-shirt underneath. If the elastic is stretched or damaged and the chest protector cannot be properly secured, it must no longer be used.

Fencing, as a combat sport involving physical contact with the weapon, is inherently dangerous. The purpose of protective equipment for fencers is to prevent injuries as much as possible, or, in the worst case, to minimize the severity of injuries, particularly those caused by the weapon's point.
Broken blades pose a particular threat. The circumstances of a blade breakage can lead to high tip speeds and impacts of high energy. Broken blades are known to penetrate protective clothing, potentially with fatal consequences. Protective equipment for fencing cannot guarantee complete protection against injuries, especially those caused by broken blades.
Protective equipment must not be modified or tampered with by the user. In particular, seams must not be undone or other parts added or removed.
The care instructions must be strictly followed. Failure to comply may reduce the protective properties.
Fencing protective equipment must be regularly checked for mechanical damage (abrasions, tears, holes, ripped seams). If such damage is found, the protective effect may be reduced and the equipment must no longer be used.
Cleaning, care and storage
The chest protector can be wiped with a damp cloth.
The elastic straps can be hand-washed at 30°C using a mild detergent.
Allow to air dry.
Store the chest protector in a cool place away from direct sunlight.
This product contains no substances known to be harmful to health.
The product has no negative impact on the user's hygiene, provided it is used as intended.
